She’s back to right her wrongs.
When Tanya Todd returns to Templeton Cove, she knows better than to expect a warm welcome. She burned a few bridges on her way out of town, and making amends won’t be easy. First on her list is the man whose heart she carelessly shattered, Liam Browne.
Seeing the successful criminal lawyer after all these years, Tanya is interested in more than just Liam’s forgiveness. As they work together to bring the man who hurt her sister to justice, the attraction between them sizzles. Suddenly Tanya’s second chance could include a future with Liam…if she can prove she’s changed.
I remember checking out Harlequin many years ago and deciding it wasn’t for me. However, when this tour was announced I decided I would like to see whether things had changed. Well time has moved on and yes, they definitely have- and for the better. I really enjoyed Her Hometown Redemption. Tanya has returned to the coastal town of Templeton, a place she left eight years ago. Back then she was ambitious and influenced by her mother to such an extent that she also abandoned Liam, the man she loved. But things haven’t worked out the way she planned and she’s now back to try and start a new life. And there is also something else she has to do: find the man who molested her younger sister and bring him to justice. Meeting Liam again Tanya realises the feelings they had for each other are still simmering beneath the surface. Liam feels the same way but is not about to get hurt again. Offering to help her track down the man who abused her sister, they are constantly thrown into each other’s company. As emotions flare between them once more, can they put the past behind them and begin again or is it too late?
A lovely romantic story with believable and well rounded characters. I loved Liam’s strength…and he also had a lot of patience. Tanya was a strange mixture of vulnerable and tough with a need to prove she wasn’t the woman who had left all those years ago and that she was deserving of Liam’s love.
If there was one slight niggle I had about this book – and it has nothing to do with the author or the quality of the writing – it’s the Americanisation of the English language in it. This is a purely personal thing and although it did slightly spoil the read for me, it in no way affected my final star rating.
I would like to thank Brook Cottage Books for providing me with a complimentary copy of Her Hometown Redemption in return for an honest review.
